Elastic Stack. Elastic Stack, also known as the ELK Stack, is a suite of 4 tools, 3 of which contribute to the ELK acronym. The Elastic Stack is made up of: Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana and Beats. The diagram below shows where the ELK Stack would fit for a company with iOS and Android mobile apps and a web portal. Any number of applications can send log statements to Logstash which, through Elasticsearch and Kibana, can be surfaced to various users throughout your organization.

A platform for streamlining application support, performing issue root cause analysis and enabling business intelligence across your organization.
Previously, log data was siloed and sometimes not even available. When a customer issue occurred, troubleshooting was painful without access to log data.
Also, logging isn’t just for product issues. It can be used for any business process and, combined with the Elastic Stack, can power business intelligence activities that help guide decision making.
